While the very large majority of appearances is for private events, Scottie the Parrot performs for a number of shows and events that are
open or available to the public. Many are free to attend. Following is Scottie's current public
performance schedule for 2023. Check back often as this list
is updated through summer as new public appearances are scheduled.

Event Postscript
For those of you who came out this night,
Scottie was disappointed that the night got cut short when an otherwise
calm evening turned into civil alarm sirens going off, lightning, rain,
and wind, and weather warnings of severe storms coming in requiring the
Hideaway, in the interest of customer safety, to shut down just before
9:00 PM. We know this cut the evening short for you who were waiting to
get a visit with Scottie.
To
make it up to you, please come back out on August 11 for the "I
Love the 90's" spectacular. Let Scottie know you were there
on the July 14 and missed a visit with him due to the evening being cut
short, and Scottie with give you priority as he makes his
rounds.

The "I Love the 90's" Spectacular

hosting it's
"I Love the 90's"
spectacular that will feature 90's tribute bands for a night you will not
forget, and Scottie will be there to party with you.
The full event runs from 6:00 to 11:00 PM
The Hideaway opens at 6:00 PM,
with music by Scott Hayes from 6:00 to 8:00
PM
From 8:00 to 11:00 PM the Hideaway
will be presenting live music by
Santeria
(a Sublime Tribute Band)
and by
Too Fighters
(a Foo Fighters tribute band)
Scottie the Parrot will be
on site from 7:30 to 9:30 PM
to greet, hang out,
take photos with you,
and dance with you to 90's music.

Mount Prospect Fall Festival
12:00 Noon - 4:00 PM

This year's Fall Festival is being held in September - right at the
beginning of Fall
(Previously it has been held second Saturday in October)
Catch Scottie in Mount Prospect for their Fall Festival. Scottie will
be appearing for your entertainment and to touch and hold. Be sure
to bring your camera or smart phone so you can capture your or your
children's picture with him.
Aside from the new date, by popular demand and at the request of
festival attendees, Scottie's appearance has been extended to a full 4
hours (instead of the previous two hours).
He will be
performing for special needs individuals and their families during the "Special
Needs Hour" from
12:00
Noon to 1:00 PM (registration required for this group).
After 1:00 PM he will be available to the general
public. Look for him at his assigned location in the town square and
center section of the festival between 1:00 and 4:00 pm.
The 2023 festival will be running rain or shine in downtown Mount
Prospect, IL in the Downtown Mt. Prospect merchant district at the Corner
of Emerson and Busse Ave. in front of the Mount Prospect Public Library. The event is
being sponsored by the Mount Prospect Downtown Merchant's Association.
Stores will be open and merchants will appreciate your patronage.
